CVRDE CELEBRATES 67TH DRDO FOUNDATION DAY

 

          The 67th DRDO Foundation Day was celebrated at CVRDE, Avadi on 03rd Jan 2025. Secretary DD R&D and Chairman, DRDO Dr Samir V Kamat, addressed the DRDO fraternity at  D S Kothari Auditorium, New Delhi and the entire program was live streamed at Arjun Auditorium, CVRDE, Avadi, Chennai -54.. The DRDO chairman inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp and paid floral tributes to the Former President Dr A P J Abdul Kalam.

 

          Addressing the gathering, Secy DD R&D brought out the DRDO Major milestones achieved in the year 2025 and further stated that the DRDO should focus to enhance the niche technologies in collaboration with Private Industries, to meet the country’s futuristic challenges and fulfill the PM’s vision of “Atmanirbharata”.

 

 





 

 

          After completion of Secy DD R&D address, Shri J Rajeshkumar, Outstanding Scientist & Director, CVRDE along with Senior Scientists / Officers unveiled the Scale down Model of LT (Zorawar) at Arjun Auditorium. In the keynote address, the Director, CVRDE extended his warm wishes to CVRDE fraternity for the successful new year ahead and emphasized the need of development in indigenization of Systems / Sub – Systems / Components of AFV’s. He also appreciated the project team members for successfully accomplishing the trial activities in the desert terrain & high altitude conditions. 

 

          The Event was organized by CVRDE Celebration Committee and 22nd Works Committee.
