National Health Movement Preview Event Successfully Held in Chennai.

As a significant prelude to the upcoming National Arogya Expo & AYUSH Conclave 2026, a high-level preview and interaction meeting was successfully held on December 16, 2025, at Chennai. The conclave is being jointly organised by the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, and the Heartfulness Institute, with the support of NASYA, VIBA, and Dr. SHREEVARMA’s Wellness.

The event marked an important milestone in setting the tone and vision for the national conclave scheduled to be held from January 9 to 12, 2026, at the Heartfulness Institute, Babuji Memorial Ashram, Manapakkam, Chennai. The preview meet brought together senior AYUSH physicians, integrated medicine experts, core committee members, and key stakeholders from the healthcare and wellness ecosystem.

The gathering emphasized that the National Arogya Expo & AYUSH Conclave 2026 is not merely a conference, but a national health movement aimed at repositioning India’s traditional systems of medicine as a core solution to contemporary health challenges. In the context of rising lifestyle disorders, chronic diseases, mental health concerns, and preventive healthcare needs, speakers highlighted the urgent necessity of shifting the healthcare narrative from disease management to disease prevention.

Participants collectively reiterated that AYUSH systems—Ayurveda, Yoga, Siddha, Unani, Naturopathy, and Homoeopathy—offer a holistic, time-tested, and scientifically grounded approach to human health. Speaking at the event, Dr. SHREEVARMA, Founder Chairman – Wellness by Heartfulness, underscored that AYUSH should not be viewed as an alternative to modern medicine, but as an integrated life science that complements and strengthens the overall healthcare framework. He emphasized that preventive healthcare, lifestyle correction, and mind–body harmony must form the foundation of future medical systems, and AYUSH provides a clear and culturally rooted pathway toward this goal.

Dr. Gowthaman highlighted the growing global relevance of integrated medicine, stressing that traditional medical knowledge and modern clinical approaches are not opposing forces, but mutually reinforcing disciplines. He spoke on the scientific validation, research opportunities, and expanding international interest in AYUSH-based healthcare models.

Dr. Vijeyapal and Dr. Veera Cholan shared their clinical and community-based experiences, drawing attention to the rising burden of lifestyle-related disorders and the responsibility of healthcare professionals to educate society on preventive practices. They emphasized that AYUSH systems play a crucial role in empowering individuals to take ownership of their health through sustainable lifestyle choices.

Adding to the discussion, Dr. Jayarooba focused on the importance of engaging the younger generation—students, young doctors, and researchers—in the AYUSH movement. She noted that platforms such as the National Arogya Expo & AYUSH Conclave provide a rare and valuable opportunity for learning, collaboration, and inspiration at a national level.

The speakers collectively highlighted that the National Arogya Expo & AYUSH Conclave 2026 will feature high-level academic sessions, expert panel discussions, research presentations, student engagement programs, and collaborative forums for doctors, researchers, entrepreneurs, and policymakers.
